Where the Money Goes
Nobody here gets paid. Not even me.
Sponsors keep the site running. Everything beyond that goes to men's mental health.
The rules
-
01
The Publisher takes nothing
No salary, no expenses, no cut. The writers aren't paid either. Nobody here is in it for money.
-
02
The site pays only to stay running
Upkeep on the equipment that runs it, new equipment when it's needed, and the incidental costs that come with both. Equipment the site pays for belongs to the site.
-
03
The start-up was on me
What it cost to build and launch this site was paid by me and will never be paid back from site money.
-
04
A reserve keeps the lights on
Three months of operating costs are held back, so one slow month never takes the site down.
-
05
Everything else goes to men's mental health
Once a year, every dollar above the reserve is given to men's mental health organizations, and every one of them is named here.
The numbers
Published once a year, in totals.
| Year | Came in | Kept the site running | Held in reserve | Given to men's mental health |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year one | The first report is published after the site's first full year. | |||
Who received it
No grants yet. Each organization will be named here after the first one goes out.
How they're chosen
Organizations that help men with their mental health, chosen by me and named here with the reason they were chosen. If the site grows, the giving may move to a fund I manage directly, and this page will say so. Why men's mental health
About the sponsors
Sponsors pay for a spot in the weekly newsletter. They see how many people read and click, never who. They have no say in what runs here.
